"And every day, the world will drag you by the hand, yelling, “This is important! And this is important! And this is important! You need to worry about this! And this! And this!”

And each day, it’s up to you to yank your hand back, put it on your heart and say, “No. This is what’s important.”

Coaching at Unlearning SuperMom

Our mission is to elevate the collective consciousness, one mom at a time.

Coaching with Us

Our clients are unlearning the story of SuperMom. Even when you can’t see it yourself, we see you as smart, kind, thoughtful, grounded, powerful women who make an impact in our world. You are doing enough. You are being enough. And you, my friend, are a badass.

Yet, you have an itchy little yearning in your chest that you just can’t shake - an intuitive knowing that you need to make a change. You may be depleted, sad, anxious, just plain pissed. You may have a longing to make a difference in our world. Maybe you want calmer mornings and evenings with your kids. To rush less, to be less distracted by your mile long to-do list. To work in the home, to get back to work, to be seen differently at work, to reach a goal, to transform your work culture. To feel a deeper level of intimacy with your partner, to connect more with friends and family in person and less online. And, you know, to have five fucking minutes to yourself that do not involve hiding in the bathroom.

When we’re in SuperMom mode, it can be hard to break out of these stuck places and stories about “what life should to be like” without a little help and perspective. In our coaching, we support you (ok, sometimes kick your proverbial butt into) showing up for yourself.

What is Coaching?

All of the women at Unlearning SuperMom have worked with a coach.  So we’re not just coaches, we’re also clients.  From that perspective, here are all of our thoughts on coaching:

Coaching is in the same family of professions as therapy, counselling, mentoring, and spiritual advising.   While there are certainly distinctions, the essence is: You've got a problem, you talk to someone to get help (that’s oversimplifying, but you get the idea).

Finding the right person to work with is key in this family of work. Many people in these professions specialize, so you want to make sure the person you choose has experience in the thing you need support with.  You also want to find someone you like and trust since this work requires you to be vulnerable and spend time with your feelings.  Kind of tricky if the person you’re working with is distant or weird.

And just to be clear, “problem” can mean a lot of things.  We coach moms who are on the brink of leaving their husbands.  We coach moms who want to make more time for themselves.  We coach moms who want to step into their leadership.  We coach moms who just want to yell less.  We’ve seen and heard it all, and it’s all welcome here.

After having worked with our own coaches for years, here’s one thing we know for sure: spending time and money on your own personal growth is always worth it.  You are worth it.

How To Get Started

If you’re interested in coaching with us, the first step is to spend some time on the About page.  Read about our coaches, see who jumps out at you, and then email them directly to set up an interview call.  This is a totally free call where you get to know each other, and you can ask them anything you’d like to see if they’re the right fit.

If you decide to work together, the two of you will then define the details of your coaching agreement (eg. when and how often you’ll talk, your coaching goals, how long you’ll work together, etc).  The personal coaching rate at Unlearning SuperMom is $200/hour.

Group/Corporate Coaching

If you are interested in group/corporate coaching or workshop facilitation, please contact us directly via email.  We have created a number of workshops that we can facilitate with a group of moms, including stress management, neuroscience 101, conscious parenting, time management and navigating the return to work.  We are also happy to meet with you to create a specific workshop for your needs.
